... English 1 ...

Writing
The most important thing before writing an essay is to pre-write.
There are many techniques to do the pre-writing such as listing out the point, mind mapping, questioning and so on.
Thesis statement, topic sentences, major ideas, supporting ideas, specific evidence, transition words are also very important while constructing an essay.
My lecturer concentrated more on "compare and contrast essay" and "cause and effect essay"
I have learnt much more than I expected.

Listening
During the lessons, lecturer trained us to concentrate listening to conversations, discussions, presentations, announcements and so on.
After that, we had to answer the questions about those sound recordings.
For me, it was quite fun because we had to guess some of the answers as we can't really follow and catch up the sound recordings.
Lecturer gave us many chances to practise before we had our listening quiz.

Presentation
The first step we had to travel a trip in group and produce a blog.
My group chose Jonker Street, Malacca as our destination for this trip.
For this trip, we had to concentrate on food, people, activities, buildings and culture.
After that, we were to presenting our trip experience to our lecturer.
In the lessons, I learned how to control the timing of presentation, get attraction from audiences, control personal approach and so on.
